OMVIC Automotive Certification Course

    Individuals looking to become a registered salesperson at a dealership or open a dealership in Ontario can do a 1-day live course for OMVIC Certification. OMVIC Certification is a requirement to become a dealer or salesperson. We offer in class and live online versions of the course.

    This course is administered by the Automotive Business School of Canada and taught by qualified UCDA instructors. The instructors provide feedback and guidance during the course. This ensures students understand requirements to be a salesperson and dealer, and are prepared for the exam.

    Once you’ve registered, received your text book and have had a chance to study it, you will attend the 1-day course. You can then write the exam online within 12 weeks of the course date and results will be emailed to you. The $380 registration fee includes the course text book and materials, 1-day Zoom class, and the exam.

    To attend the online course you must meet the following requirements:

    • Good quality internet connection (minimum 5 Mbps)
    • Computer with webcam, microphone, and speakers (Phone and or Tablet are not acceptable)

    The course runs from 8:15 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and testing is done online within 12 weeks of the class date.

    Course fee is $380 (Domestic student) or $655 (International student). 

    For those who do not wish to take the live online course, there is a self-study option available. Registration for self-study is handled directly by the Automotive Business School of Canada they can be reached at 1-877-722-1513. Please be aware that if you register for the self-study you cannot switch to the live class after 10 days.
